Grasiela - Dark Milk Chocolate
Grasiela was the first true Portuguese woman I met. My first full day as a proselyting missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ended with a dinner at her home. She and her husband, Jorge, were some of my absolute favorite people in all of Portugal.
Having immigrated to Portugal from her native Mozambique, Grasiela knew first-hand the cruel face of discrimination, yet loved everyone unconditionally, including the often bizarre white missionaries.
This bar pays tribute to her sweet spirit and native continent. With beans from Uganda, Grasiela is a dark milk chocolate, sweet and dark just like its namesake. Like the person, Grasiela is one of my all-time favorites.
