Estrela - Dark Chocolate and Minty White Chocolate
The Serra da Estrela region of Portugal is the country’s highest area. It is the only part of Portugal that sees any kind of snow on a regular basis. Inevitably, when telling any Portuguese person I was from Utah (which had recently held the 2002 Winter Olympics,) they would tell me they had seen snow while visiting Serra da Estrela. This bar is for them.
Named (somewhat tongue-in-cheek-ily) for the mountainous region of Portugal, this bar plays on the ubiquitous Andes mints found in restaurants, and my current favorite candy bar, Kit Kat Duos Dark Chocolate + Mint. The bar features 70% dark chocolate and a minty white chocolate.
